Portfolio

SuperApps - Software Engineer Intern
Tools & Technologies: Next.js, React, React Native, TypeScript, Figma, Prisma

As a Software Engineer Intern at SuperApps, I played a key role in developing the SuperApps.com and SkateApp.net websites. My responsibilities included creating the home and about pages for both websites, as well as the pricing page for SuperApps.

Additionally, I designed and implemented several screens for the SkateApp mobile application, using React Native to create the onboarding, notification, and settings screens, improving the app’s user experience.

Currently, I am working on a full-stack project that utilizes React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Express. The frontend is hosted on Vercel, while the API is hosted on Digital Ocean. This project has expanded my skills in full-stack development and cloud hosting solutions.

First Citizens Bank - DevSecOps Engineer Intern
Tools Used: Azure DevOps, Git, Bash, Splunk, PowerBI, Jira, Confluence

During my DevSecOps internship at First Citizens Bank, I developed Splunk dashboards to monitor Azure pipelines and Jira HTTP sessions, enhancing system reliability and error detection. I analyzed logs to identify patterns, driving the design and implementation of Splunk queries. I also migrated over 150 Azure DevOps pipelines to target agent pools, supporting the CIT to First Citizens Bank integration. Additionally, I helped write a Bash script to count lines of code across all repositories, and collaborated with a team to engineer a PowerBI dashboard that consolidated project data from Clarity and SharePoint, streamlining data retrieval for PMO managers. My toolkit included Azure DevOps, PowerBI, Splunk, Jira, Confluence, Clarity, and SharePoint.

Contractor Control (Class Project)
Developed using ReactJs, Django, PostgreSQL

My team and I developed a full stack web application designed specifically for contractors to streamline their inventory management, quote generation, invoicing, and time tracking for a school project. This project comprises of ten fully responsive pages, each developed using React components built with React hooks, ensuring a smooth user experience. The backend of the application is powered by a Django REST API, which seamlessly handles data management and business logic. For secure user management, I implemented Django’s JWT authentication, allowing users to safely create accounts, log in, and access personalized features. The application uses PostgreSQL as its database. This project showcases my ability to integrate front-end and back-end technologies to create a cohesive and functional web application that meets real-world business needs.

Cii - Software Engineer Intern
Hello Jethro - Developed using ReactJs, C# .NET, SQL Server, AzureDevOps

The summer before my junior year, I interned at Cii (I was also with them Fall semester), where I collaborated on a team of three to develop a full-stack web application called “Hello Jethro.” We designed, developed, and tested React components using React Hooks and created .NET controllers to seamlessly connect the front and back ends. I also worked with SQL Server to manage the database. We leveraged Azure DevOps for task management and version control. While this project is currently being used internally and cannot be showcased publicly, it provided invaluable experience in full-stack development. Despite its success, the application was never publicly hosted, a decision that was beyond my control.

farm2clinic.com
Developed using ReactJs, HTML, CSS

I learned about Farm2Clinic at the beginning of last Fall Semester last year when I took a community engaged-participatory-research honors class led by Dr. Sastre. I learned that Farm2Clinic had no digital presence after meeting with Dr. Sastre one-on-one. A couple of meetings later she agreed to let me build the website. I used React.js, MaterialUI, and JavaScript. React.js is a JavaScript library used for building reusable UI components and user interfaces. It lets developers compose UIs (user interfaces) from small and isolated and reusable React components. I also specifically used a React.js Library known as Material UI. Material UI is very useful because it is an open-source React component library that includes many prebuilt components that allows developers to create web applications efficiently. After a month of weekly meetings with Dr. Sastre, teaching myself a new JavaScript framework (React.js) and its various fundamentals (from JSX to what “props” are), and many commits to GitHub later I managed to get a working version of the website online! The website is now up and running and the link to the website itself is: farm2clinic.com. To host the website on the internet, the domain “farm2clinic.com” was bought from GoDaddy.com and I deployed the website to “farm2clinic.com” using Netlify.com.

TextArt (Class Project)
Developed using C/C++

You can use this terminal application to generate, store, and edit text art, providing a complete and unrestricted canvas for your creations. With features like character deletion, undo and redo, and more, you have complete control over your designs. Additionally, this application has the capability to create and save text art animations. TextArt offers a wealth of data structures and algorithms material, including linked lists, recursion, multi-dimensional arrays, trees, and graphs. Give it a try without hesitation!

My Personal Website
Developed using HTML, CSS

This is the site you are currently on :). This was super fun to make and I plan on adding more to this "portfolio" section of the website as I involve myself in more projects. Thanks for visiting!
